Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Mr Benneth Chinedu Igweh, has charged officers to hunt down criminals for peace to reign in the FCT: “The command is enhancing its capabilities for combating the emergng security threats. We have clamped down on kidnappers and armed robbers arresting 15 suspects in their various hideouts.
“The officers diligent in carrying out their duties. They apply professionalism with specific training in fields such as investigations and charge the suspects to court.
“Police operatives arrested a set of suspected armed robbers in Wuse, Berger axis, terrorising residents and robbing their victims. The Anti- Kidnapping Unit (AKU), arrested seven suspected kidnappers. They confessed to kidnaping incidents along Airport Road, Abaji axis. We successfully raided their hideouts.
“Operatives arrested five suspected one-chance armed robbers in Nyanyan. A I police intelligence teamed was de- ployed after other gang members at large. The command is not taking chance to neutralise the criminals. We appreciate the good people of FCT for their continued support, understanding and cooperation.”
