Despite biting hunger, protest and spate of insecurity, about 2 million women under the aegis of the Friends of President Tinubu and Shettima Community Organisation, have drummed support for President Bola Tinubu, to address poverty.
Its Convener and National Coordinator, Bridget Torbua Igbauke, told journalists yesterday in Abuja, that Nigerians should bank on the initiatives and hope for better days.
She said the group would uphold the “political ideology, principles and policies” of President Tinubu to address poverty.

She said: “We the Nigerian Women and Youth are ready to take advantage of the developmental strides of Renewed Hope Agenda of our dear President in order for us to break the cycle of poverty in our families – we are ready to change our mind set, our thinking, perception and attitude towards learning a skill today.
“It is against this backdrop that we, the Friends of President Tinubu and Shettima Community Organisation, are echoing that we are holding unto the political ideology principles and policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Grand Commander of the Armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that we may say goodbye to poverty.
“The political ideology of our president is means tested and universal: it is a safety net and springboard to greater achievements in our lives.
“All the mechanisms to breaking the chains of poverty had been laid bare on the table of social justice for everyone to access without prejudice to ethnicity, religion, gender or creed,” the group said.
