Students across the country celebrated Easter with family members and enjoyed traditional meals and engaged in other festive activities with friends.
Some students shared with Daily Sun how they spent their Easter holiday and compared it to last year’s celebration.
Uduji Nora Ihechilu, an JSS2 student of Danvic International School, Isheri Whitesand, Lagos, shared how she spent the Easter celebration with family members and friends.
She also picked her preference between this year’s celebration and the previous years. Uduji said she enjoyed meals and watched movies with her parents as well as appreciate the opportunity she had with them.
Uduji revealed how prepared she was for the new academic session and the quest to make her parents proud of her.
Zion Ndukwe, an SS2 student of No Limits Secondary School, Okota, Lagos, revealed that this year’s Easter was boring, unlike the previous years when there were a lot of goodies to enjoy.
According to him, his parents consoled him and assured him that they would go out next year.
He further added that he is prepared for the new academic session, and looked forward to the new term, with the last school programme been the prize giving day ceremony.
Dike Juliet, a student of Goshen Model College, Okota, Lagos, who is currently in SS1, shared her Easter celebration experience.
According to her, there was not much difference between this year’s celebration and previous ones and that her family ate the usual meal and she watched movies.
Dike says that she was not given any specific reason as to why they had a simple Easter, unlike the other years when she went out to different restaurants with her family.
The SS1 student disclosed that she was prepared for the new academic session and eager to make a different in her studies.
Obasi Chidiebube, an SS3 student of Grandmates School, Okota, Lagos, disclosed how he celebrated Easter with the family and siblings.
His words: “It was a day filled with laughter, music and quality time with my family,” he explained that last year was quite different than this year, and appreciated the bond he shared with his family and friends.
He acknowledged on his preparedness for the new academic session, stating that he is prepared for the new session, being is his final year in secondary school.
With the Easter break now behind them, the students are gearing up for a productive new academic session. They promised to remain focused and ready for the task ahead.
