…Varsity threatens legal action
From Lateef Dada, Osogbo
The Vice-Chancellor of Osun State University (Uniosun), Prof. Odunayo Adebooye, has expressed shock over an audit report conducted by Sally Tibbot Consulting Limited where he and 249 other staff members were classified as ghost workers.
Speaking at a press conference at the university’s Osogbo campus, he outlined the troubling implications of the consulting firm’s audit.
Prof. Adebooye stated that Saadat Ottun, the Vice Chairman of Sally Tibbot, personally handled his verification. He questioned the decision to label him and others as ghost workers despite their compliance and submission of valid credentials during the verification process.

“The classification was particularly troubling and psychologically disturbing because the individuals concerned physically appeared and complied fully with the verification,” he stated.
While calling for an apology from the firm, the Vice-Chancellor threatened legal action against what he described as Sally Tibbot’s “mischief.”
According to him, the verification exercise involving 1,017 staff members was done in a hurry, resulting in a display of arrogance and immaturity. He specifically cited an incident in which a professor was insulted. “Rather than accurately representing our workforce, the consultant appears to have focused on achieving certain returns,” he claimed.
Prof. Adebooye reaffirmed the university’s commitment to uphold its dignity and integrity while addressing these serious concerns.
