Iconic music producer, Mr John Oboh popularly known as Mighty Mouse, who died of stage 4 cancer this morning, had hidden his medical problem from family members.

A family source told The Sun that the legendary music producer and star maker had been down with cancer for over two years, but he hid it from family members, and by the time they got to know about it and trying to render assistance, it was too late.

“John has been struggling with cancer for over two years now. But he hid it from us family members. He only told his wife. By the time we got to know, the cancer had reached an advanced stage, Stage 4 and there was nothing we could do to help at that time,” the source disclosed.

Mighty Mouse was the magic hand behind Ajegunle music known in the ’80s and ’90s as ‘Galala’. Only last year, he welcomed his 9th child, which he dedicated on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Comfort Hotel by Warehouse bus-stop, Olodi Apapa, Lagos.

Aside his siblings like Apostle Peter Oboh, ex-British boxing champion, and veteran broadcaster cum politician, Mabel Oboh, the event attracted many dignitaries including Baale of Ibafon, High Chief, Olukayode and his wife; veteran musicians, Oritz Wiliki, Baba Fryo as well as up and coming artistes.

Meanwhile, arrangements are been made for his burial.
