Coach Nazzy, a Nigerian digital content creator and entrepreneur, says content creation has helped her achieve financial independence and build a recognised personal brand with more than 700,000 followers on TikTok.
The entrepreneur, whose real name is Chinaza Joy Osigwe, said her journey had taught her that social media could offer opportunities beyond entertainment, adding that she was determined to expand her business interests and establish a lasting legacy.
According to her, one of the biggest achievements was building a platform that people recognised and connected with, despite not initially expecting to attract such a large audience.
“My biggest personal achievement is building a name and a platform that people recognise and connect with. When I started creating content, I never imagined that I would eventually have an audience of over 700,000 followers on TikTok.
“But beyond the numbers, I’m proud of the financial independence I’ve achieved and the opportunities I’ve created for myself.
“Being able to build something from my own efforts, support my family, and establish myself as a digital entrepreneur is something I consider a major achievement,” she said.
Osigwe attributed her growth to her personality, confidence, consistency and relationship with her audience, saying she remained committed to presenting herself authentically rather than trying to impress people.
She said she viewed social media as an avenue for building a sustainable venture rather than merely entertaining followers.
“What distinguishes me is my personality, confidence, consistency, and the relationship I have built with my audience.
“I don’t believe in pretending to be someone I’m not just to impress people. I want my followers to connect with the real person behind the platform.
“I’m also very business-minded. I don’t see social media as just a place to entertain people; I see it as an opportunity to build something meaningful,” she said.
The digital entrepreneur said the growth of her online audience marked a turning point in her career, as it encouraged her to take content creation more seriously as a business and recognise the opportunities available through digital platforms.
She, however, said having a large following came with responsibilities, stressing that influence should be measured by the trust a creator builds with an audience rather than popularity alone.
According to her, messages from followers who said her journey had encouraged them to become more confident and pursue their ambitions had reinforced her belief that content creation could have an impact beyond entertainment.
“Having that level of influence means responsibility.
“When hundreds of thousands of people follow you, you begin to understand that your words, decisions, and actions can reach people you may never meet personally.
“For me, it isn’t just about popularity. It’s about building trust and maintaining a genuine relationship with my audience,” she said.
Reflecting on the challenges of her journey, Osigwe identified trusting people too easily in business relationships as one of the mistakes that had shaped her experience.
She said the experience taught her to scrutinise opportunities, ask questions and ensure that agreements were properly understood before making commitments.
She also identified public criticism and the pressure associated with recognition as challenges, adding that she had learnt to focus on her goals rather than allow negative opinions to distract her.
The content creator said her ambitions extended beyond social media, noting that she was interested in exploring opportunities in the beauty, fashion and lifestyle sectors while building partnerships with reputable companies.
She said she hoped to diversify her income sources and establish businesses capable of growing beyond her online presence.
“I’m interested in exploring opportunities in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and other businesses that align with my interests and personal brand.
“I also want to work with reputable companies and build partnerships that can create long-term value.
“My goal is to continue expanding professionally rather than depending entirely on one source of income,” she said.
Osigwe, who is also a mother, said creating a secure future for her daughter remained an important motivation behind her ambitions.
She added that she wanted her personal brand to represent success, independence, resilience and growth in the coming years, with achievements that went beyond social media popularity.
The entrepreneur said she hoped her journey would encourage young Nigerians, particularly women, to take their ambitions seriously and recognise the opportunities that could emerge from developing their skills and building an audience.
“I want my journey to encourage young Nigerians, especially women, to believe in their abilities and take their ambitions seriously.
“I want people to understand that social media can create opportunities, but success requires discipline, patience, and continuous learning,” she said.
She added that her long-term ambition was to be recognised not only as a content creator but also as an entrepreneur whose journey inspired others to pursue their goals.
“For me, true success is not just about becoming popular. It’s about building a life you’re proud of and leaving a positive impact,” she said.
