Wife of Ooni of Ife, Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi has revealed her relationship with the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola and how the politician inspired her to greater heights.
Olori Temitope stated this during her visit to the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola.
Speaking about his support and mentorship for her over the years, the Ile-Ife Queen described Fashola, a former Governor of lagos, as a strong tool for her personal and professional development. She tagged the minister a pillar of strength.
“I met Fashola while working as a consultant to the Ministry of Health under the leadership of Dr. Olajide Idris. This was during the Ebola crisis when I initially started my advocacy TV programme, Health Wise. The aim of the programme was to educate people on how to protect themselves from diseases and keep healthy hygiene.
“Without anyone referring my programme to him, Fashola discovered the show and reached out to me. He encouraged and supported me. This to me was an experience of a lifetime that transformed my life.”
Narrating more on their relationship, Temitope, revealed the legal practitioner turned politician has been instrumental in helping her rediscover her purpose and providing invaluable guidance.
“He’s one among the people God has used to shape me into becoming who I am today. In a world where father figures are sometimes hard to come by, Fashola is a shining example of what it means to be a true father. My husband regards him as the Queen’s Father. He’s known for his purpose-driven approach to governance, his focus on achieving goals, his exceptional intelligence, and his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on society,” she said.
