Veteran Nigerian actress and gospel minister, Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi, has revealed more information about the tragic death of her 15-year-old son, alleging that medical negligence contributed to his passing.
In a recent interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Anunobi revealed that during her son’s critical state, a student doctor performed blood extraction instead of the required transfusion.
“Instead of the student doctor to do blood transfusion, the student doctor did blood extraction… I removed 3 pints of my son’s blood.”

She expressed the immense burden she carried as a mother, adding that she handled the financial and emotional responsibilities while navigating her son’s medical crisis.
“I was the one paying rent, I was the one doing everything. Charles never brought 1 Naira.”
Anunobi’s son, Raymond Ekwu, suffered from complications related to sickle cell disease and passed away in 2017. Since then.
The actress also clarified that she is properly addressed as “Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi”, reflecting both her spiritual calling and her academic achievement, following her PhD in Christian Education and Ministerial Acts.
