Against the backdrop of a heavy downpour, thousands of comedy lovers gathered at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, June 28, for the 13th edition of ‘Ajebo Unleashed’, proving that neither traffic nor rain could dampen the excitement surrounding one of Nigeria’s biggest comedy events.
From the moment guests streamed into the fully booked venue, it was evident that ‘Love and Laughs’ was more than just a comedy show—it was a celebration of life, relationships and the shared experiences that unite people through humour.
Hosted by celebrated comedian and storyteller Emeka Erem, popularly known as Ajebo, the sold-out event delivered an unforgettable blend of comedy, music and heartfelt storytelling.
Drawing from everyday experiences of love, heartbreak, marriage, friendship, and human connection, Ajebo captivated the audience with his signature style, transforming familiar life moments into uproarious laughter.
The night’s stellar lineup further elevated the experience. Comedy heavyweights Kenny Blaq, Romeo, Josh2Funny, Abarie.com, Edo Pikin, and other guest performers kept the audience entertained with energetic, memorable performances that had the hall erupting in laughter from start to finish.

Providing a soulful interlude was award-winning singer Timi Dakolo, whose timeless performance created one of the evening’s standout moments. Guests sang along to his beloved classics, adding warmth and emotion to an event built around the universal themes of love and human connection.
