The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate the ongoing dispute between the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over the recruitment of constables into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

The House mandated its Committee on Police Affairs to conduct the investigation and report back within four weeks for further legislative action.

Furthermore, the Green Chamber urged the Federal Government to increase the number of personnel to be recruited into the police force, while ensuring the recruitment process adheres to federal character principles.
