Toni Ikpeme, the Chairman of the Hope Waddell at 130 years celebration says the institution will open its doors for the public to see its 130 years old log book and other artifacts dating back to 1894.
He disclosed this at the institution’s Chapel while kicking off a one week celebration to mark the 130 years anniversary of the institution.
According to him, the civil war did not destroy that aspect of their archives and the history of Nigeria and Cross River is also encapsulated there.
“As part of our 130 years anniversary, we will be opening our artefacts, trophies, memorabilia and logbook for the public.
“Our principals have been very meticulous with this and you will absolutely see what happened in this institution.
“One of the things we cherish is that the war did not destroy that aspect of our archive and they are absolutely intact.
“The log book itself is a priceless memorabilia and the entire history of Nigeria and Cross River State can be encapsulated there”, he said.
