Moved by the zeal being displayed at the House of Representatives by the Deputy Speaker, Rt.Hon Benjamin Kalu, Labour Party stalwart in Abia State, Hon Iheanyichukwu Ugochukwu, popularly known as Prince Ugo, has commended him for fine works even as he appeal to the Deputy Speaker to do more for the youths from his Constituency.

Hon Kalu, who represents Bende Federal Constituency, is an outspoken legislature who has sponsored many bills that have brought good governance closer to Nigerian.

Recently, he broke the news of the establishment of the South East Development Commission to Nigerians, stating that the South East is getting the needed attention from the Federal Government.

While responding to statements made by Rt.Hon Kalu in an interview with Spin Fm where he claimed that APC will take over Abia in 2027, Hon Ugochukwu said it is too early to begin to talk about change of leadership in Abia. “My Advice to Rt.Hon Kalu is to face his legistive duty and seek for ways of empowering thousands of youths in his Constituency. Mr Deputy Speaker should remember that Abia is not a property to be mortgaged to compensate the ruling party.

“What we need in Abia now is rapid development, not distraction . like he admitted, His Excellency Gov.Alex Otti is doing a great job. What he needs from us now is our prayers and good wishes to enable him to deliver good governance to the good people of Abia State.”
