Labour Party stalwart in Abia State, Hon. Iheanyichukwu Ugochukwu, popularly known as Prince Ugo, has joined the good people of Bende and well-meaning Abians to congratulate an illustrious son of Uzuakoli, Chief Iheanyi Frank Chilasa (Agu Bende), on his recent appointment as the Chief Liaison Officer, Abia State Liaison Office, Abuja.
In a statement made available to the media, the businessman and politician described Chief Chilasa as a proven achiever and committed son of the soil whose contributions to the development of Abia State have long spoken for him.
According to Hon. Ugo:
“This appointment is a well-deserved recognition of Chief Chilasa’s dedication, loyalty, and consistent drive for human and community development. His elevation is not only a personal achievement but also a collective pride for Ndi-Abia and Ndi-Bende. I have no doubt that he will continue to deliver quality service that aligns with the Abia Arise vision of His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti.”
Hon. Ugo, who also serves as the convener of Alex Otti 2027 in Ghana, extended heartfelt appreciation to Governor Alex Chioma Otti for expanding the responsibilities of Uzuakoli’s illustrious son.
“Beyond his earlier role as Liaison Officer to the National Assembly, Chief Chilasa has now been entrusted with the highly esteemed office of Chief Liaison Officer of Abia State in Abuja. This office places him as the Governor’s representative in the Federal Capital Territory, overseeing state staff, assets, and institutions such as the Governor’s Lodge, Abia Investment House, the Abia Diaspora Desk, and other key state interests at the federal level. This is a mark of great trust, and we appreciate our Governor for recognising and rewarding capacity and hard work.”
Hon. Ugo further said:
“On behalf of the good people of Uzuakoli Ancient Kingdom, I sincerely commend and thank His Excellency, Governor Otti, for this bold step. We assure him of our continued support for his progressive leadership in Abia State.”
He concluded with a note of goodwill:
