American film director and actor Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Sunday, December 14.
The Los Angeles Fire Department revealed that they were responding to a report, and when they got to the scene, they discovered that the filmmaker and his wife were already dead.
The LAFD were joined by the Los Angeles Police Department within an hour of their arrival in what officials say was a “family incident”.
Per reports, the couple’s bodies were discovered by their daughter, Romy Reiner, after which she alerted the police. Both of them died from an apparent stabbing.
The police are investigating the incident as a double homicide. The Reiner family has asked for privacy as they mourn the deceased.

Rob Reiner will be remembered for several big Hollywood projects, including This Is Spinal Tap (1984), Stand by Me (1986), The Princess Bride (1987), When Harry Met Sally (1989), Misery (1990), and A Few Good Men (1992).
As an actor, his films include Sleepless in Seattle (1993), The First Wives Club (1996), and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), among others.
Reiner’s wife, Michele, was a photographer best known for shooting the cover photo for Donald Trump’s The Art of the Deal.
She was also a film producer.
