Hilda Dokubo suspended from Labour Party over alleged misconduct

Hilda Dokubo, a Nigerian actress who ventured into politics, has been suspended as a member of the Labour Party in Asari Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State. 

Her suspension followed allegations including financial misconduct, abuse of office, and violations of party regulations.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Dokubo, who also served as the Labour Party’s chairperson in Rivers State, was suspended following an emergency meeting of the party’s ward executive committee on July 15.

The decision was communicated through a letter signed by several ward officials, including the Chairman Ajalamonia Ibama, Secretary Lole Amacheer, Treasurer Emmanuel Ibamathe, Women Leader Osaki Dieypiriye, and Publicity Secretary Osaki Dokubo.

The suspension follows a detailed investigation into the accusations levelled against the 54-year-old actress.
