Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has congratulated chef, Hilda Baci on setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

In a Monday announcement on X, GWR disclosed that Hilda Baci in partnership with Gino served 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) of Nigerian style jollof rice to achieve the feat.

In his congratulatory message, Atiku said the chef has shown that Nigerians can inspire the world.

He said, “Congratulations to Hilda Baci and Gino for setting a new world record with the largest serving of Nigerian-style Jollof rice.

“It is yet another reminder that our people can break records, set standards, and inspire the world.”

In May 2023, Hilda Baci claimed the world record for marathon cooking with 93 hours 11 minutes, which was surpassed later that year by Irish chef Alan Fisher with 119 hours, 57 minutes.
