The ongoing May/June 2026 computer-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) experienced hiccups on Wednesday and Thursday as some candidates wrote the school examination late.
Daily Sun gathered that the General Mathematics paper was administered to some students several hours after the scheduled time on Wednesday.
Some students finished the paper around 5:30 pm, as opposed to 1:30 pm, and were seen heading home at about 6:00 pm.
For Thursday, our correspondent also learnt that the government paper was taken three hours after the scheduled time.
A WAEC source told Daily Sun that logistics problems affected the distribution of the question papers by road in Lagos and other parts of the South-West.
The Head of National Office (HNO) of WAEC, Dr Amos Dangut, did not answer our correspondent’s calls.
