A member of the National Assembly, Sen. Sulieman Adokwe has described the recent killing of seven Tiv people in Kadarko, Keana  Local Government Area of Nasarawa State by suspected herdsmen as unwarranted and barbaric.

Adokwe, who represents the Nasarawa South Senatorial Zone, in a statement, urged government to be proactive towards ensuring the protection of lives and property across the senatorial zone.

He condemned the killings of  innocent people and made strong case for the continued presence of security agencies in the affected communities in the state in order to stop the killings.

While commiserating with the families of the victims of the recent killings in Kadarko, he assured the people of his support at all times and commended security operatives for their responsive action aimed at protecting lives of innocent people.

Meanwhile, former Minister of Information and 2015 governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance in Nasarawa State, Labaran Maku  has urged the Federal Government to take urgent action against the incessant attacks and killings across the country.

“The primary responsibility of any government is to protect lives and property and stop the senseless killing going on simultaneously across the country; as it  does not speak well of the government. It’s heart-breaking to hear about yet another death of our fellow citizens in Kardorko,

“Every life is sacred and should be able to sleep with his or her two eyes closed, it is a failure on the part of our government when citizens are slaughter animals”, he  said.
