House of Rammah Foundation has been hailed for boosting education in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The head teachers of Aboro Community Primary School, Mrs Abibat Kolawole, and Local Government Primary School, Oyero, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Idowu, gave the commendation on the occasion of the 2023 International Book Giving Day, with the theme “Give books, especially to children.”
The executive director/founder of the group, Risikat Adeola-Adisa, stated that the International Book Giving Day is celebrated every year on February 14. This special day is celebrated by book lovers all over the world. It is a day to share love of books with someone, especially children who might not have access to as many books as they need due to the hardship in the country.
Adeola-Adisa said it was not a coincidence that International Book Giving Day falls on the same day as Valentine’s Day, a day of love, after all.
She stressed that International Book Giving Day was about two things: a love of books and a love for fellow human beings.
Adeola-Adisa, who is known for her heart of gold and compassion towards humanity, due to the current hardship, noted that it was part of the foundation’s mission to put smiles on the faces of the underprivileged and those in need.
The founder said, with the many problems Nigerians are faced with, she could only but imagine how little children and their parents are surviving, adding that the donation would give hope to the children for a better future.
She applauded the head teachers and teachers of the schools for their commitment and tolerance towards the academic development of their pupils.
Adeola-Adisa assured the management of the schools of the NGO’s commitment to the welfare and growth of schools and admonished the teachers not to give up, knowing how hard things were, but to continually give their best in teaching and imbibing good morals to positively enhance the character for national development
The headmistress of Local Government Primary School, Oyero, Ogun State, Mrs Oluwatoyin Idowu, and she taff appreciated the NGO for their support and show of love during this time when they least expected such a gesture in a troubled season in the nation’s history.
Idowu said the donations would go a long way to give hope to the hopeless among them and aid their education.
When the NGO donated books to pupils of Aboro Community Primary School and Local Government Primary School to support them towards achieving quality education, the pupils were filled with excitement.
