Brazil and Real Madrid forward, Vinícius Júnior has declared Cristiano Ronaldo the greatest player in football history.
The 25-year-old star made the declaration amid the eternal GOAT debate in football, with Ronaldo and Argentine captain, Lionel Messi often named.
Vinícius, himself a Ballon d’Or contender and FIFA Best winner, made his position clear in favour of his idol.
He emphasised not just natural talent but the Portuguese forward’s unparalleled discipline, adaptability, and achievements across multiple countries and leagues.
Vinícius said, “I don’t just look at talent. I look at the whole picture.
“Cristiano has proven it in England, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Different leagues, different teammates, different generations… but always the same: GOALS, TROPHIES, AND RECORDS.”
The winger, widely regarded as one of the world’s top players and a key figure for Brazil at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, highlighted Ronaldo’s work ethic as a defining quality.
“He transformed hard work into an art form. His discipline, sacrifice, and consistency are also talents,” Vinícius added.
“That’s why, for me, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best footballer of ALL TIME.”
Vinícius has long cited Ronaldo as a major inspiration, crediting the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s dedication and hunger for success.
Ronaldo enjoyed legendary spells at Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al-Nassr, amassing a record-breaking tally of goals, Champions League titles, and individual awards while adapting to new environments and teammates over more than two decades at the elite level.
