Hollywood actress Hayden Panettiere, best known for her roles in Heroes and Nashville, has died at the age of 36.
Panettiere reportedly passed away on Sunday, August 16, with a source disclosing to TMZ that she had been complaining of back pain in the past year.
Her demise was announced in a statement issued by her representative, who called the actress “an incredible light and a force of nature”.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden.
“She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” the statement reads.
Born on August 21, 1989, Hayden Lesley Panettiere made her first appearance on screen in a commercial in 1990 when she was just eleven months old.
She gained prominence when she played Claire Bennet in the NBC superhero series Heroes, becoming a regular on the science fiction convention circuit.
Some of Panettiere’s film roles include A Bug’s Life (1998), Ice Princess (2005), The Forger (2010), Scream (2022), and Sleepwalker (2026).
