Former England midfielder, Owen Hargreaves has tipped compatriot, Harry Kane to claim this year’s Ballon d’Or, saying the 33-year-old striker is aging like fine wine.
Kane, Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe top a 30-man shortlist for the coveted award unveiled earlier this week, with the winner set to be crowned at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on Oct. 26.
Speaking with TNT Sports, Hargreaves said, “I think this year, Harry’s the favourite, but there’s some other big candidates in there.”
The former Bayern Munich and Manchester United star added, “I think statistics are very important.
