Apparently not meeting the power supply needs of citizens of the country, some property developers have called on the Federal Government to leverage renewable energy to power some of its industries.
One of the developers, Mr. Mike Aniweta Nweke, noted that the idea of powering industrial machines with private generators will continue to increase the price of goods companies produce. “It seems that Federal Government does not consider the interests of the populace, otherwise some of the policies that are not favourable to the citizens should be discouraged. Government should think more about the people. Electricity bills in residential homes should be reviewed downwards to lessen domestic expenses on citizens,”he said.
Another respondent to PropertyMart questionnaires, Mrs Alice Osezele, also a property developer, said that most people in business no matter what, needs power to do the work. According to her, “Whether your business analyzes, designs, or constructs renewable energy power generation facilities or ensures their ongoing daily operation there are several ways Government could be of great help. They can engage the services of Bentley to provide solutions throughout your project’s lifecycle,” she stated.
She stated that looking at the award-winning renewable energy projects that have relied on Bentley software to analyse, design, build, operate, and compete in today’s rapidly changing global environment, it would be possible to engage some establishments to serve government with low carbon future power products.
Osezele stated that for nearly 20 years, Bentley has helped renewable power generation projects become nimble, sustainable, and innovative. She said that with fully integrated mult-idisciplinary tools, Bentley software is scalable, flexible and affordable.
