The Kebbi State Government has extended the deadline for the payment of 2026 Hajj exercise for the state intending Pilgrims till 16th December,2025 and purchased 1,300 seats from National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) before the closing date.
Executive Chairman,Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency,Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Yaro confirmed this during a press conference with newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.
He explained that the date fixed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria,for the Hajj seats payment for the 2026 exercise was 5th December 2025 already expired, but the state government had purchased the seats allocated to the state,1,300 to enable the intending Pilgrims to meet up with the payment.

According to him; “the deadline has expired last Friday and NAHCON has not extended the deadline; But our Governor out of his compassion to our intending pilgrims has released the sum of N10b to secure slots of about 1,300 seats for our Intending pilgrims, so that no intending pilgrims of Kebbi origin will be left out.
“It is therefore my singular honour and privilege to inform you that the door is now open for any Intending pilgrims to make payment for the 2025 hajj up to Monday 16th December, 2025”.
Yaro who thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris for the exemplary leadership, said the state has started planning and preparations ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise to ensure smooth operations.
