Chairman of the Ogun-Guangdong Free Trade Zone (OGFTZ), Dr. Hajia Hafsat Oduwole Balewa, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, joined respected Islamic leader Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman in a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting, which also included Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman, the eldest son of the late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, focused on issues of national importance, including peace, unity, economic growth and sustainable development.
Dr. Hafsat Balewa, an investment promotion expert and development advocate, has continued to champion industrialisation, foreign investment and job creation through the Ogun-Guangdong Free Trade Zone, one of Africa’s leading special economic zones.
According to a statement by Khadimul Faidha Khalifatu, the official media team of Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman, the visit provided an opportunity to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening national cohesion and improving the well-being of Nigerians.
President Tinubu, Dr. Hafsat Balewa and Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman exchanged views on fostering inclusive growth, national unity and sustainable development.
The meeting also underscored the Federal Government’s continued engagement with leaders in the investment and religious sectors to promote dialogue, stability and national progress.
It ended on a cordial note, with President Tinubu, Dr. Hafsat Balewa and Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman reaffirming their shared commitment to a peaceful, united and prosperous Nigeria.
