Two victims, a male and pregnant woman abducted by gunmen at Ndegwu in Owerri West Local Goverment Area has regained their freedom on Saturday after paying two million naira ransome.
Athough,the pregnant woman it was gathered could not meet up with her own two million naira ransome demaded leading to her being tortured by the hoodlums , the male victim was also badly beaten as he was seen limping after being released.
Narrating their experience, a close friend of the male victim said “Yes they have been released after one of them paid two million naira despite he was badly beaten, his co abductee felt most of the torture because she couldn’t raise money demanded.
The female victim who is said to be pregnant was badly beaten with bruises all over her body .

Recalled that the victims were abducted on Wednesday at about 8 Pm while in their separate shops, the abductors in milliitary uniforms pretended to buy from them before eventually abducting them.
The incident marks the resumption of abduction and criminal activities that has subsided in that community for two months now after police visited the area and some of them apprehended.
