Gunmen have shot dead All Progressives Congress youth leader in Ward 4, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.
Sources said Sunny Omokaro, was killed Monday evening in his wife’s shop at the Ikpoba-hill area of Benin City at about 9pm.
The victim was said to be relaxing in the shop after returning from a political meeting when some men numbering about four ran into the shop.
Unknown to the APC youth Leader, the men were being pursued by police. He was asked to leave the shop, and when he refused, they shot him in the chest and left him in the pool of his blood.
Sunny was said to have died before he could get to the hospital.
When contacted, spokesman of the Edo Police Command, DPS Abiodun Osifo, said he was yet to be briefed on the matter.
