Terrorists troubling parts of Kaduna State have killed one person, injured three others and abducted four women in separate attacks on communities in Kajuru Local Government.
Local sources who spoke in confidence said the first attack occurred late Saturday night, March 7, 2026, at about 11:57 p.m. in Ungwan Sarki, Iri community in Idon Ward.
“During the attack, a 40-year-old resident, Williams Pius, was reportedly killed, while three others sustained gunshot wounds.
Those injured were identified as Daniel Mukadas, an elderly man; Maryamu Nicholas, an elderly woman; and Sunday Elisha, a young man.
They are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed health facility.
The attackers were also said to have rustled six cattle used by residents for farming.
According to community sources, the gunmen later moved to Iri Gari around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, where they looted several shops and made away with three motorcycles.
The incident comes barely a week after another attack was reported in the Inkirmi Iri community.
In a separate incident on the same day, the Janwuriya 1 community in Buda Ward of Kajuru LG was also attacked by suspected gunmen. Residents said three women were abducted during the attack, while two other women sustained severe gunshot wounds and are currently receiving medical treatment.
Community members have again called for urgent intervention by security agencies to prevent further attacks and restore safety in the affected communities.
The latest attacks have heightened fear among residents, especially as three people who were kidnapped in the same area on February 22, 2026, are still being held by their captors.
As of the time of filling this report, both the Kaduna State Police Command and the Ministry for Internal Security and Home Affairs have not issued any public statement on the developments.
