The village head of Aujarawar Alkali community in Kano State, Ahmad Yakubu Ahmad has been abducted by gunmen
The incident happened on the night of Thursday, September 17, 2026.
Witnesses told journalists that the attackers came with sophisticated weapons and left with him to an unknown destination
A statement on Friday by Mahi Isma’il, the spokesperson to the Zannan Kano and District Head of Jogana town confirmed the abduction.
Ma’aji, in the statement appealed to security agencies to intensify rescue efforts as well as presence reinforce security in rural communities in the state.
He also urged residents to stay calm, vigilant, and pray for his safe return.
As of your time of the report, the Kano State Police Command is yet to issue a statement in respect of the reported incident.
