Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have abducted a couple a Ndegwu Okuku road in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
A source who disclosed the incident to our correspondent said the couple were in a vehicle with other people on their way to buy a land in the area when their abductors shot at their tyre.
According to the source,the gunshot punctured the tyre of the vehicle which made it to stop and immediately their abductors jumped out from the Bush.
Some of the occupants of the vehicle were said to have escaped and reported the incident to the police who stormed the scene but could find the abducted couple.
Incident of abduction according to natives of the area is becoming rampant. One of them who do not want his name mentioned said another couple were earlier abducted three months ago while also heading to buy a landed property in the same area.
