Group targets FCT for Tinubu in 2023
From Fred Ezeh, Abuja
A political support group, National Coalition Group (NCG), said it has mapped-out strategies to win the FCT for APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the 2023 presidential elections.
NCG Director of mobilization, Francis Shoga, who disclosed the information at the inauguration of the FCT Executive members of the group in Abuja, said the group has decided to work with indigenous people in FCT to achieve the task.
He said that research carried out by the group indicated that indigenous people are more rooted at the grassroots and they made up majority of the voting power in FCT, hence the decision to work with them and through them to achieve the target goal.
He charged the new executive members to penetrate the over 10, 000 polling units in FCT with the messages of APC and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
He admitted that it may not be easy task because PDP has won elections in FCT in the past, but with the level of awareness and acceptance of APC and its presidential candidate, success is inevitable.
FCT coordinator of the group, Tijani Yau Gabasawa, assured the leaders that FCT will produce the large chunk of five million votes that NCG/City Boys Group promised to deliver for Tinubu in 2023 presidential election.
He attested to the competence and ability of the new executive members to reach out to the electorates in FCT across the 62 wards and 10,000 polling units with messages of hope and future being marketed by APC and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
NCG National Chairman, Dr. Bako Mohammed, in his remarks, insisted that APC and its presidential candidate has the answer to the yearnings of the people, in addition to his credibility and acceptance, hence it’s easier to market to the people.
He encouraged the new executive members to confidently campaign for the APC candidate, assuring them necessary support, financial and logistics, would be provided to enable them achieve the desired target.
