Dews and Aire Guidance, an organisation dedicated to the career and educational sensitisation and empowerment of young people, is set to expand its operations beyond Lagos.

The Executive Director of the organisation, Mrs Morenike Keye, stated in a statement that the decision to expand the scope of operations of the non-governmental organisation is aimed at providing broader opportunities for youths outside Lagos to benefit from its philanthropic programmes.

According to her, Dews and Aire Career Guidance is marking its second anniversary, and, looking back, it has been a story of success.

Keye said, “Two years ago, Dews and Aire Career Guidance began with a simple but powerful mission: to ensure that every young person, regardless of background, has access to quality career guidance, practical skills, and the support needed to build a successful future.

“Since then, that mission has grown into meaningful action. Over the past two years, the Foundation has travelled across Lagos State, visiting government secondary schools in Education Districts I, II, III, IV, V, and VI.

“In classrooms and school halls, students have been encouraged to ask questions, discover their strengths, explore career opportunities, and believe that their dreams are achievable.”

According to her, Dews and Aire Career Guidance have recorded significant milestones through programmes such as career talks, mentoring sessions, educational support, leadership development programmes and career counselling.

She stated that the organisation has reached more than 500 students across over 55 government secondary schools in Lagos State, adding that many of the beneficiaries had been properly guided to discover their interests, strengths, personalities and abilities before making important decisions about their future.

“Students who once believed they had limited choices begin to see new possibilities. They learn about careers they had never considered, discover the importance of digital skills, understand the value of entrepreneurship, and begin planning their futures with greater confidence and purpose.

“Teachers and school administrators have also witnessed the transformation, seeing students become more motivated, more focused, and more intentional about their education and career aspirations.

“Today, as Dews and Aire Career Guidance is preparing for an even bigger chapter.

“Recognising that many young Nigerians need support beyond secondary school, the Foundation is expanding its programmes to serve graduates, job seekers, young professionals, and out-of-school young people across the country,” she said.

She further stated that the expanded programmes will focus on critical areas such as career guidance and counselling, career awareness programmes in schools, student mentorship and coaching, digital literacy and digital skills training, entrepreneurship and small business development, CV and résumé writing support, interview preparation, workplace readiness training, leadership and personal development workshops, youth empowerment initiatives, online learning, and lifelong professional development opportunities.
