A sociopolitical group, Agbon Like Minds (ALM) recently paid a solidarity visit to the former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

The group, which comprises Agbon sons and daughters resident in Agbon Kingdom, boasts of a diverse representation from all Agbon sub-clans through its numerous members.

According to the group’s coordinator, Ejenavi Akpo Esiekpe, the purpose of the visit was to express their gratitude to the senator for his historic ‘thank-you’ tour to all the local government areas in Delta State after the 2023 elections.

He said the gesture was particularly notable, adding that since 1999, it has been very rare to see a candidate return to appreciate his supporters after elections.

Esiekpe praised Omo-Agege’s unique approach, stating that his willingness to connect with Deltans again and the acknowledgement of their unwavering support was a beacon of hope to all his supporters.

The group pledged their total loyalty to him, recognising and endorsing him as the only leader who could liberate Deltans from the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) exploitative and reckless government. The group said the endorsement was a testament to Omo-Agege’s commitment to the people of Delta State and his vision for a better future for them.

Sunday Efenure emphasised the significance of the visit, highlighting the Senator’s unique position as the leader of the party, who could spearhead the APC’s efforts to unseat the PDP from Delta State Government House.

Also speaking, Mr Playwell Omonigho, acknowledged Omo-Agege as the only true opposition figure in the state with the capacity to bring about the desired change.

Omonigho said the endorsement underscores the senator’s strong reputation as a leader, who can bring meaningful and needed transformation to the state.

In his vote of thanks, Itietie Gabriel, one of the leaders in\ward 10, Egbo Kokori, said the Obarisi of Urhobo land, has footprints in the three senatorial districts in the state and should be given the opportunity to do more.
