Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has relieved Shehu the Commissioner for Investment, Commerce and Industry, Wada Sagagi from his position.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa said the sack was with immediate effect.
According to the statement, the Sagagi was directed to hand over the affairs of the ministry to the Director Commerce with immediate effect.

The statement explained that the decision was a part of the strategic alignment of government’s structures for systematic growth and sustainable development.
The Governor expressed appreciation to the former Commissioner for the services rendered during his tenure and acknowledged his contributions to the development of the state, particularly in the areas of politics, religion, small and medium enterprises.
The Governor wished him success in his future endeavours as he reassured the public of his administration’s continued commitment to efficient service delivery and good governance in the state.
Sagagi, an associate of the leader of the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was previously, redeployed from the post of the Chief of Staff to the Governor to his present assignment. He was a one time State Chairman of the PDP and prayed a very crucial role towards the victory of the newly formed NNPP in the 2023 general elections
