Governor Sule’s Open Administration Bridges Gap Between Government and Citizens- Aboki

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Nasarawa state on Media and publicity, Dr. Nawani Aboki has said Engr. Abdullahi Sule have earned commendations for its commitment to transparency and openness, fulfilling campaign promises to create an inclusive government.
In a statement release on Monday and sent to reporters noted that the governor’s approach to governance has significantly strengthened the relationship between the state government and its citizens.
Nawani highlighted a notable incident in 2023 underscored Governor Sule’s accessibility where three youths in Lafia discussed the Governor’s performance, with one boasting he could call the Governor directly. To their surprise, he dialed the Governor’s number on speakerphone, and the Governor answered promptly, saying, “Hello.” This display accessibility amazed his friends and highlighted the Governor’s openness.
For the past five years, Aboki further stressed that governor Sule has consistently responded to calls, text messages, and letters from citizens, regardless of their status. “This practice has endeared him to the people, setting a rare example among political leaders.”
“Governor Sule’s openness is revolutionary,” said a local political analyst. “He understands that being accessible is a powerful governance tool.”
He added that Governor Sule’s private sector background informs his leadership style, emphasizing the importance of feedback loops. This approach ensures that public input directly influences policy-making, promoting a more responsive government.
