Gov Yusuf condoles APC national secretary over mum’s death

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Sidikat Basiru, who passed away at the age of 92.

This was contained in a condolence message by the Governor’s spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano yesterday.

In the message, Governor Yusuf described the late Alhaja Sidikat Basiru as a devout Muslim, a compassionate mother and an exemplary matriarch, whose life was defined by humility, total submission to the will of Almighty Allah and selfless sacrifice.

The Governor noted that her outstanding virtues and commitment to nurturing her children with sound moral and religious values were clearly reflected in the exemplary character and distinguished public service of Senator Basiru and other members of her family.

He said the late Alhaja Basiru lived an impactful life and left behind a legacy of faith, integrity and service that will continue to inspire generations.

Governor Yusuf extended his heartfelt condolences to Senator Basiru, the entire Basiru family, friends and associates, praying that Almighty Allah grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He also prayed that Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, accepts her righteous deeds and grants her eternal abode in Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
