Gov. Sule’s Appellate Court Victory Restores Hope in Nasarawa State – APC

In a resounding victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, the recent decision by the Appeal Court to overturn the nullification of the party’s mandate has been welcomed with jubilation.

The earlier nullification, set by the lower court led by Hon Justice Ezekiel Ajaiyi’s Governorship Election Petition Tribunal panel, has been reversed, leading to a significant win for His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A Sule, and the entire APC Family.

The APC Nasarawa State Chapter expressed immense delight at this well-deserved triumph, citing it as a testament to the overwhelming support received from the majority of the state’s populace during the March 18 Governorship Election.

“This victory not only reaffirms the party’s widespread acceptance but also signifies a major win for democracy and the people of Nasarawa State.”

Otaru Douglas, the State Publicity Secretary of APC, in a statement on Thursday highlighted the hope reignited among the populace, which had been slightly dimmed by uncertainties surrounding the political atmosphere post the tribunal ruling.

The APC says the decision aims to alleviate the mutual distrust and security concerns that arose following the election and subsequent tribunal outcomes, providing a sense of relief from anti-democratic tendencies and disturbances.

Moreover, Douglas urged unity and collaboration, calling upon the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu, to set aside differences and support Governor Abdullahi A Sule’s administration for the state’s progress.

The APC emphasized the necessity of transcending political and ethnic affiliations to harness collective strength for Nasarawa State’s betterment, emphasizing that the state’s interest should supersede any political ambitions.

In a bid for unity, the APC urged the PDP to abstain from pursuing a Supreme Court challenge, advocating instead for cooperation and collective effort towards fulfilling the citizens’ aspirations.
