Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among others, will receive the Almond Insurance Special Recognition Award at the annual Almond Insurance Industry Awards and Consumers’ Night, scheduled for November 1 in Lagos. Established in 2018, these awards celebrate the changemakers, innovators, and thought leaders who are making significant contributions to the industry, aiming to enhance the acceptance of insurance products and services among Nigerians. This recognition is expected to motivate Governor Sanwo-Olu to further support the insurance and pensions sector.
In a press release signed by Ms. Faith Ughwode, CEO of Almond Productions Limited, she said that voting for various categories concluded with over 10,000 votes from all sectors of the insurance industry, including customers and the insuring public. “It takes a visionary leader to build upon and enhance existing systems. Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu exemplifies vision and progress and we are thrilled to have him celebrated at this year’s awards. The unprecedented voter turnout underscores the growing recognition and prestige of the Almond Awards both within and beyond the insurance sector,” Ughwode stated.
