The assurance was given over the weekend by his Deputy, Peter Odey, during an inspection tour of ongoing road projects in Ogoja Local Government Area.
Odey inspected the remodeled Abakpa Bridge, a key part of the Ndok-Abakpa-Igoli-Monaya Road Rehabilitation Project. He also assessed ongoing work on Stadium Road and the 10km Ndok Junction-Mbube Road.
The Deputy Governor said the administration is committed to ensuring all projects meet specifications and are delivered within agreed timelines.
“The Otu administration remains committed to ensuring that all ongoing projects are completed according to specifications and within stipulated timelines to guarantee lasting value for the people of Cross River State,” Odey said.
He noted that regular monitoring of projects is central to the government’s approach to ensure accountability, quality assurance, and prudent use of public resources.
Odey urged contractors to maintain high standards of workmanship and adhere strictly to contractual obligations. He also called on motorists to obey traffic regulations, especially speed limits, to reduce road accidents.
CEO of K-Ton Construction Company, Mr. Kolawole Oladayo, handling the projects, reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to delivering quality work. He disclosed that the roads have a minimum design lifespan of 25 years under proper maintenance.
