Gov. Okpebholo, Aigboboh, Esekhaigbe, others join late Idahosa’s family for thanksgiving Service

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Chairman Edo State, Sylvester Aigboboh, APC Esan Central Senatorial Leader, Gen. Cecil Esekhaigbe (rtd) and other top government officials, yesterday, joined the family of late Charles Idahosa in a thanksgiving service.

Charles Idahosa, a former Commissioner for information in Edo State and a chieftain of the APC, popularly known as Chalie Tempo, died on 20th December 2025 at the age of 72 years.

The officiating minister, Venerable Vincent Ayevbuomwan, who presided over the service called on the congregation to live right, affects lives positively because death is a debt that all must pay.

Venerable Ayevbuomwan led other ministers to offer prayers for the family of late Idahosa and also offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the Elder statesman.

He also led prayers for President Bola Tinubu, Federal Executive Council, governor Okpebholo, and his executives for God’s directions, guidance, and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the nation and that of Edo State.

He prayed for improved security, economy, and good policies that will transform the lives of the people for the best.

The thanksgiving service which held at St. Peters Anglican Church, Benin City, was full to capacity as political associates, family members, former media colleagues, friends and well wishes were present to thank God for a successful burial ceremony.
