Gov Mbah hails Enugu monarch at 38th coronation anniversary, Ofala festival

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has congratulated the traditional ruler of Aji Community, Essodo Kingdom, Enugu-Ezike, Igwe Simeon Osisi Itodo on the celebration of his 38th year on the throne and Ofala festival.

Governor Mbah, in a goodwill message to the monarch and acknowledgement of the invitation sent to him as a special guest on the occasion slated for January 2 2026, acknowledged the invaluable roles Igwe Itodo has played in the society over the years and his contributions to the development and wellbeing of the people of Enugu State.

“I wish to congratulate you on this landmark event marking your exemplary leadership and service to your subjects and indeed, Enugu state. On behalf of my family, the Government and good people of Enugu state, I convey our profound felicitations on this special occasion, while wishing you a memorable occasion. Please accept the assurances of my best wishes,” Governor Mbah stated.

Igwe Simeon Osisi Itodo, Grand Patron, Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council was crowned a traditional ruler in 1987 during the military administration of Col. Robert Nnaemeka Akonobi.

His Ofala celebration in 2026 will feature the public presentation of his biography, conferment of honorific chieftaincy titles to some deserving personalities and Royal Pilgrimage to the Ancestral Ufu-Ezikeoba.
