Musician and entertainer, Amed O, known for using his music to promote national unity and intertribal harmony, has praised Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, attributing his electoral success to his performance and detribalised leadership style.
Speaking while announcing plans for his upcoming third studio album, he said Nigeria would thrive when children of inter-tribal unions step up as bridge builders in our multi-ethnic nation.
“When justice, equity and peace prevail, our country will remain harmonious regardless of tribal or religious differences,” he said.
He praised Adeleke’s leadership approach, highlighting his broad appeal across political and tribal lines.
“Governor Adeleke is down-to-earth and manages Osun State effectively. Thanks to his deep understanding of humanity. The overwhelming support he receives from the people of Osun shows he is practising true democracy. Someone who can win over political opponents through good governance deserves a second term and should eventually be considered as a candidate for higher national office,” he said.
He pointed out that this shared bi-tribal heritage gives the governor a broader perspective on public administration.
The musician revealed that his upcoming album would feature guest appearances from major industry figures, including Davido, Timaya and Flavour. His signature hit, “Aboki Na Asu Igbo,” recently earned its fifth ‘Unity Song of the Year’ award since its release in 2024.
