Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has assured residents that his administration is taking decisive steps to prevent a recurrence of the recent security breach in Pindiga, Akko Local Government Area, which claimed the lives of two siblings and led to the abduction of other residents.
The governor disclosed this during his quarterly media chat, where he provided an update on the state government’s response to the incident and broader security architecture across the state.
Governor Yahaya said the government has drawn critical lessons from the Pindiga incident and is already implementing targeted measures to proactively address security gaps. According to him, the administration is intensifying intelligence gathering, strengthening coordination with security agencies, and deploying preventive strategies aimed at forestalling future occurrences.

“Peace does not happen by accident; it is a product of deliberate action. We have learned from what happened in Pindiga, and we are taking concrete steps to ensure such incidents do not happen again,” the governor stated.
He emphasised that sustaining peace and security remains a top strategic priority of his administration, stressing that development cannot thrive in an atmosphere of fear and instability. The governor reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working closely with conventional security agencies, community leaders, and local stakeholders to maintain law and order across all parts of the state.
Governor Yahaya also called on residents to support security efforts by providing timely and credible information to authorities, noting that community cooperation is critical to effective security management.
