Golden Terra Oil has launched a nationwide consumer reward campaign tagged the “Get Gold Promo,” offering shoppers free Terra Gold seasoning packs with qualifying purchases of its cooking oil products.

The initiative, which is being rolled out across retail outlets in Nigeria, is designed to reward loyal customers, attract value-driven shoppers, and strengthen the brand’s position as a household staple in the country’s cooking oil market.

Under the promo, consumers who purchase a 5-litre keg of Golden Terra Oil will receive a free 100-piece Terra Gold seasoning pack valued at N1,200. Customers who opt for a 1-litre pouch will also get a 20-piece Terra Gold seasoning pack valued at N240 at no extra cost. The campaign effectively links two consumer brands under the TGI Group portfolio—Golden Terra Oil and Terra Gold seasoning—positioning them as complementary kitchen essentials aimed at improving both taste and value for money.

According to the company, the promo is part of its broader strategy to deepen consumer engagement while responding to rising cost pressures facing households. By bundling cooking oil with seasoning products, the company says it is offering practical savings and added convenience for everyday cooking.

Golden Terra Oil has, over the years, built a reputation in Nigeria’s highly competitive edible oil market on the back of its positioning around purity, quality, and health-conscious cooking.

The brand is widely used in homes, small businesses, and food vendors who rely on consistent quality for daily meal preparation.

On the other hand, Terra Gold seasoning has become a familiar kitchen companion for many Nigerian households, known for enhancing flavour across a wide range of local and continental dishes. The promo, therefore, creates a synergy between oil and seasoning—two core ingredients in everyday cooking.

Speaking on the campaign, Probal Bhattacharya, Chief Marketing Officer of TGI Group, described the initiative as a reward-driven engagement strategy aimed at appreciating loyal consumers while delivering additional value in a challenging economic environment.

“The Get Gold Promo is an exclusive offer to our well-deserving consumers who choose Golden Terra Oil. Every consumer deserves more, and this promo is our way of saying thank you for the trust they place in our brand,” Bhattacharya said.

He added that the company remains committed to balancing quality with affordability, noting that the initiative reflects its understanding of current economic realities affecting household spending.

“We understand the realities of today’s economy, and we remain committed to delivering not only quality products but also added value that makes a meaningful difference in our consumers’ everyday lives. Through this initiative, we are rewarding loyalty while bringing together the purity of Golden Terra Oil and the great taste of Terra Gold in one exciting offer,” he said.

Market analysts note that promotional campaigns like “Get Gold” have become increasingly important in Nigeria’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, where brands are competing not only on quality but also on affordability and value-added incentives.

With inflationary pressures affecting food prices and household budgets, companies are leaning more on bundled promotions, loyalty rewards, and price incentives to sustain consumer demand and retain market share.

The Get Gold Promo is expected to run across major retail channels nationwide, including supermarkets, neighbourhood stores, and wholesale distributors, with consumers encouraged to take advantage of the limited-time offer while stocks last.
