Nigerians have been assured that better days are ahead despite the challenges confronting the country.

Pastor Chris Isaac of The Great House Altar of Fire Ministry, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, gave the assurance during the 16th edition of 12-hour non stop prayer held Saturday at the church premises.

The event with the theme ” Henceforth nobody will tell me sorry but congratulations” according to the cleric, was organized to pray not only for the congregation but also for the nation.

According to him, “The significance of today is about freedom, it is about unity. It is about the totality of God in our salvation. 12-hour non stop prayers is a gathering for prayer not only for ourselves but also for the nation. This is the 16th edition because Jesus told us to pray without ceasing. So if we must scale through some hurdles of life we must pray, we must seek the face of God.”

The man of God who pointed out that the hand of God is upon Nigeria, said greater future awaits Nigeria and urged the citizens to pray for the country. His words: “The hand of God is upon our country, Nigeria. We can all see what is happening in most African countries today. Yet the hand of God is upon Nigeria. Nigeria has a greater future that is why we must all believe in this country. Nigeria needs our prayers and that is why we have been praying. Sometimes people wonder why we have to pray. We can see coup d’etat taking place in other African countries. It is not because of anything but it is because God is interested in Nigeria and our prayer is working. Nigeria will be great again.

Speaking on the significance of the duration of the prayer session, which lasted 12 hours, the man of said,” Numbers are powerful. Number 12 is the number of government . The nation of Israel comprised twelve tribes. Jesus chose twelve disciples. God told me that we should pray for twelve hours for our families and for our nation. Twelve is a number of importance in the realm of the spirit.

“Henceforth nobody will tell us sorry. As a country, we have been through a lot. Each of the past governments have tried their best. Now we are looking forward to seeing a better future. Now henceforth, no matter what is happening in the continent, as a country, no one will tell us sorry. We are candidate of celebration and that is what must hope for in a new Nigeria.”

The programme also afford the church to reach out to the less privileged and widow who attended the programme “12-hour non stop prayers is not just for prayers. We are also reaching out to people. As you can see people have been fed. We are also going to reach out to students whose tuition fees will be paid. We are also reaching out to widows . It not only about praying, it is also an opportunity to reach out to people who are going through difficult times. It should not be only about preaching, churches must also reach out to people. Jesus Christ fed the people of His days that means Jesus was into charity. The church, I believe, should not only preach, the church should also show love and to me love is about giving. For God so love the world and gave His only begotten son. If we are talking about love of God, we must give – physical substance. Salvation is for the soul but reaching out is for the body.” He concluded.
