The acting deputy director, 6 Division, Army Public Relations, Lt. Col Danjuma John Danjuma has been decorated with his new rank.
The General Officer Commanding, GOC 6 Division Nigerian Army and Land Component Commander, South South Operation Delta Safe, Maj Gen Jamal Abdussalam during the ceremony said it was a well-deserved promotion urged Danjuma not to rest on his oars.
According to him the new rank would further enrich his knowledge as he would be required to carry out certain tasks that would be expected of him.
The Chief of Staff, Brig Gen Babatunde Omopariola applauded Lt Col Danjuma for his efforts at work, stating that the presence of some Officers from other sister Services is an indication of his dedication, commitment and passion for duty particularly in public relations.
Also, the acting Commander, 56 Signal Brigade, Col CA Amorha urged Danjuma to see his promotion as an act of God stating that the promotion is a sign that his hard work has paid off.
He encouraged him to remain above board in the conduct of his duties, adding that his family should be first to benefit from the promotion.
The newly promoted senior Officer, Lt Col Danjuma who thanked the Almighty God lifting him up commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja for his magnanimity and the GOC, Maj. Gen Jamal Abdulssalam for making the day a reality.
