The Eziama Community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State experienced a convergence of culture, class and celebration of love on Saturday, September 6 as billionaire oil magnate, Prince Charles Chukwuemeka Amadi gave out his daughter, Amarachi’s hand in marriage to her heartthrob, Ikenna Power Okoro.
The palatial country home of Prince Amadi was lit up with glamour and excitement as eminent guests gathered to witness the traditional engagement of the elegant daughter of Charlvon Limited Chairman in a ceremony that transcended the bounds of a family celebration.
The colourful event featured a full spectrum of Igbo tradition: the bride’s graceful performance of her marital rites, cultural dance ensembles, electrified gospel songs, and vibrant attire that reflected the pride of Igbo rich cultural heritage and the ancient Benin Kingdom.
Indeed, it was a celebration of love, mutual respect, cross-cultural heritage between the Igbos of Imo State and Bini of Edo State as the beautiful bride, Amarachi, walked down the aisle accompanied by her bridal train dressed in Edo traditional apparel as she sought her groom, Ikenna, to drink from the keg of palm wine presented to her by the parents as tradition demanded.

The excited groom, Ikenna, received the gesture from his bride in the presence of friends and invited guests as witnesses.
Ikenna — an Abuja-based realtor— is the son of Chief Reuben Okoro, the President General Emeritus of Orlu Zurume.
The Chairman of the ceremony was the former governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, whose presence added colour, grandeur, and historical weight to the ceremony. In his goodwill message, Ohakim commended Prince Amadi and his lovely wife for their good family values. He then prayed for the couple’s blissful union.
The celebration climaxed with feasting, music, and merriment, leaving indelible memories for all who attended.
