The Great Independence Hall Alumni Association (GIHAA) has launched, aiming to unite alumni of Great Independence Hall at the University of Ibadan and strengthen ties with the wider community.

The association seeks to uphold the hall’s traditions while fostering platforms for alumni to connect, collaborate, and support the hall and the university’s development.

At the inauguration, GIHAA President Omotola Ifafore outlined the association’s goals. “Through collective endeavour and mutual commitment, we can achieve a substantial and lasting impact,” he said. GIHAA plans to host networking events to promote mentorship and professional growth, community outreach projects to encourage social responsibility, and educational programmes offering scholarships for current students.
