Transfer football expert, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Nigerian striker and KAA Gent new kid on the block, Gift Orban could leave in the summer transfer window for a whopping fee of €20million (about N10 billion).
Quoting the Italian on Saturday, “Gift Orban is expected to be on the move this summer. The Nigerian striker has 14 goals and two assists for Gent this season.
“Understand the 2002-born striker price tag could be more than €20m this summer with clubs already monitoring him.”
Orban caught the attention of top European clubs after he grabbed a hat-trick in three minutes and 25 seconds during Gent’s UEFA Europa Conference League round of 16 second leg against İstanbul Başakşehir, eclipsing the landmarks set in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
It will be a busy transfer window for the Nigerian who was transferred from Stabaek Fotball in the Norwegian League to the Buffaloes at the conclusion of the January transfer window for around €3.30 million.
Three weeks ago Italian news source Calciomercato had reported that scouts from Napoli and Milan are reportedly keeping a close eye on Orban and he could soon find himself amid a bidding war between the Italian giants.
