Bayern Munich have advanced to the semi-finals of the German Cup with a 2-0 win over RB Leipzig on Wednesday night.
It was Bayern’s first time reaching the semis since 2020.
Vincent Kompany’s side went ahead from a Harry Kane penalty before Luis Diaz doubled the league four minutes later.

It was Bayern’s third thumping of Leipzig this season, following back-to-back victories in the Bundesliga where the champions scored 11 goals.
Bayern join defending champions Stuttgart, Bayer Leverkusen and Freiburg in the last four of this season’s competition.
The Bavarians hold the record of 20 German Cup triumphs, winning 14 more than any other club.
However, they have failed to make it past the quarter-finals since 2020.
